World Trade Center Noida signs MoU with CCPIT- Beijing

NEW DELHI: The China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT- Beijing Sub council) has entered into an agreement with World Trade Center (WTC) Noida and VERBIND-its trade service arm.

The agreement would render WTC Beijing and CCPIT as the strategic partner of WTC Noida, WTC GIFT City, WTC Chandigarh and VERBIND in China with WTC Noida and VERBIND, correspondingly acting as their holistic partner in India, said a press release.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by Li Luxia, vice chairperson of CCPIT and WTC Beijing and Khair Ull Nissa Sheikh, executive director of WTC Noida and VERBIND during a business session held in New Delhi.

The agreement also aims at giving an impetus to intra-BRICS economic engagement and to foster connectivity amongst members of the business community.

“India aims at becoming a manufacturing destination. The government has been attracting investors through its Make in India campaign; and with China being its largest trading partner- WTC Noida and VERBIND will focus on assisting and facilitating Chinese companies willing to invest in India,” said Sheikh.

Since Chinese investments has been growing in India, the agreement will help in providing trade related services to the companies so as to continue the momentum and work towards cohesive development and simplifying the process of business and investment.

Luxia envisages for a boost in trade and investment relations through this agreement. “This agreement will prove to be a stepping stone towards strengthening trade and economic cooperation, with the two fastest developing nations of the world and creating wider platform for companies to interact, invest and develop new partnerships in India and China,” she said.

 Tata Housing will invest about Rs 150 crore on a new housing project, which was launched on Tata Founder’s Day, at Kalyan near Mumbai.

The new project Avaha will come up at Kalyan near Mumbai. The price of units in this project will start at Rs 63 lakh. According to a company official about 180 units would be developed in this project at a cost of Rs 150 crore. Commenting on the new project, Tata Housing MD & CEO Brotin Banerjee said: “Kalyan as a region is witnessing rapid progress in terms of its liveability index that is assessed on factors such as health and medical standards, safety, housing options and socio-cultural development.” — Agencies
